Your Scott County Supervisor

Ken Beck was first elected to the Scott County Board of Supervisors (BOS) in November 2016 and re-elected in November 2020.  Based on Ken’s exceptional leadership skills, he was unanimously selected by his fellow supervisors to Chair the Board for the current and prior 3 years.  His inspirational and collaborative leadership qualities led to a unanimous selection by not only supervisors from 4 other counties, but also non-elected members to chair the Eastern Iowa Mental Health and Disability Services Region since 2020.  Ken has also been the chair of the Scott Emergency Communication Center (SECC) for his entire second term.  Ken serves as the vice-chair of the Waste Commission of Scott County, and is a member of the Bettendorf Intergovernmental Committee, Scott County Regional Authority (SCRA), Rock Island Arsenal Defense Alliance (RIADA), Greater Davenport Redevelopment Corporation (GDRC) and the Bi-State Commission.

Ken and his wife, Linda, moved to Scott County from Denver, Colorado in 1984. They initially lived in Parkview, then moved to Bettendorf where they have resided since late 1985 and raised their two children.

I will continue to work on your behalf to provide the level of services Scott County is known for while keeping the county tax levies one of the lowest in the state.
